Looking for Activities While In Atlanta Surrounding the Mission Events?

A Jaunt Along The Beltline

Start your day in Midtown at the beautiful urban oasis of Piedmont Park. From there, rent a bike, grab a scooter, pop on your rollerblades, or walk like an earthling along the miles of lovely pedestrian-only paved greenways and sample all of the wonderful bars, shops, and restaurants the Beltline offers.

Gabi and Alex Recommend:

  • Larakin for a great coffee before your walk.

  • The Atlanta Botanical Garden (Located in Piedmont park)

  • The High Museum of Art (Midtown)

  • King of Pops (An Atlanta Institution that looks for their stands in Piedmont)

  • Victory Sandwich Bar (Inman Park along the Beltline)

  • Ponce City Market (Former warehouse turned food hall / shopping hub along the Beltline)

The East Side Adventure/What Gabi and Alex Do Most Weekends

Already tired of the city? Want to get away from the crowds? Do you love gentrification? Head to the east side of town to sample some of Atlanta's best-hidden gem neighborhoods. If you really want to put yourself in the shoes / minds of Gabi and Alex begin by getting over caffeinated at Radio Roasters followed by antiquing across the street at Kudzu. Then, drag/bribe your significant other to shop for food at the Dekalb Farmers Market (not an actual farmers market), and conclude your outing with lunch at Arepa Mia.

Gabi and Alex Recommend:

  • YOUR Dekalb Farmers Market (Avondale. An experience in itself)

  • Radio Roasters (Avondale. Best coffee in the city, hands down)

  • Kudzu (Avondale. Massive curated antique and vintage mall)

  • Arepa Mia (Avondale. incredible Venezuelan food)

  • El Tesoro (Kirkwood. Great Mexican fare in cool outdoor setting)

  • Gene’s (East Lake. Great BBQ)

  • Banshee (East Atlanta Village - maybe the best restaurant here)

  • Argosy (East Atlanta Village)

  • Lloyds Restaurant and Lounge (Inman Park. A bright spot in the otherwise hellish landscape of pizza offerings in Atlanta)
